Stealer of Amilorgath by ~Propaganda-X:iconPropaganda-X:

The tiresome walk home didn't seem to deter young William. One couldn't be concerned with the implications of fatigue when the sweet embrace of home laid so close near by like a dormant friend, awaking for you with open arms. William pushed against the manors hard wood door, its foundation giving off a soft squeak. William tossed down his bag with unbridled delight.

"Uncle George!!!!"

A large man with a bushy white beard turned to face the direction of the voice.

"William my boy!"

The two hugged one another like old friends being reunited after time spent too long apart, which was the case when one thinks about it. Uncle George brushed his beard with his bony fingers.

"Are you ready my boy?"

William nodded, smiling like a cat after a gracious feast. George patted him on the head. William loved his Uncle. The two had always seen eye to eye despite the factors of age and size. William often liked to think that William was his real father. This however to Williams disappointment  was nothing more than a heartfelt dream. One of William's favorite dreams in fact. But dreams were not what consumed young Williams mind amidst all other things. It was the thought of spending a whole month with his dear old Uncle George that sat proudly in his mind. The click of heel to marble echoed from above the stairs.

"Hello George"

"Hello Miss Savanah"

A women all too divine slowly glided down the glistening stairs towards William and George. Her hair was platted back so her angelic features could be easily viewed. A petite little nose amongst a cluster of rosy lips. The woman slowly stepped across the floor too stand elegantly next too William.

"You look exceptionally breathtaking this evening Miss Savanah......but that would be expected. My presence is known to do things to women"

"Yes George, you've single handedly been the main contributer of madness in the population of women to date"

"Mad with love no doubt.."

A small chuckle was shared between the two, William forcing a smirk despite the fact he had no idea what they were talking about.

"Well William...you be good for Uncle George won't you"

"Could he be anything but!?" George chuffed

"You'd be surprised George, young William has earnt himself quite a reputation for being an aspiring sneak"

"What do you mean Lilly?" George's glance drooping down to meet Williams bashful mug.

"Tell him William"

Hands in pockets and legs coiled, William looked up to his mothers face.

"Must I?"

His mothers sternness unwavering in fortitude.

"Go on Will.....You've got me curious now, go on!"

"Its nothing much really....."

"Oh" His mother huffed "I'm sorry I forgot....sneaking into everyones house along this street looking for...for rope"

"String mother.."

"String!.....In broad daylight I might add without even being noticed...not once is nothing!"

George placed his hand gently onto Williams shoulder.

"William...is this true"

William gave a single nod.

"My word Will....astounding!!! Truly Epic!"

William's frown transgressed into a proud smile.

"Don't encourage him George"

"But Lily! the boys got real talent"

"Talent for things frowned upon in society!"

"Society's nothing more than a fickle bitch Lily.."

"George!"

George tried to hide a bright baby's grin behind his beard, failing miserably.

"Well....its true....young Will here could be the next Robin Hood"

"Who's that?"

George stopped like a frightened deer in front of a loaded musket. Suddenly Georges hands were wrapped around Williams girth and lifting him to his face.

"You know not of the legendary Robin Hood!!"

William shook his head.

"Well then even more flight of foot will be required....the boy must read it, he will read it"

George grabbed Williams case near the door. Left by his father no doubt, to busy with his work to even bid farewell. Will's mother kissed him gently on the brow. Will rubbed his head.

"Mother please"

"Goodbye you two...see you in a month"

The two waved goodbye and stepped out the great wood door. That very moment, held in his Uncles arms William felt he was for at least for few moments or so, completely and utterly at peace. George whistled a coachmen to his side, Will and himself stepping in its comforting hold. The driver whipped the steads and the coach rocketed off into the distance.

"Get some rest William....it will be a good while before we reach Cunnerly Manor"

And so Will did. Lulled into sleep by the kind words of his dear uncle as the coach tore the very foundations of the road behind it.
